Tattoo scheduling step by step:

-We are so excited you have decided to get a tattoo, we want to help make sure it’s a smooth and comfortable process for you! Please feel free to discuss with us ways we can accommodate you. We ask that you read the following to help prepare for your big day.

-You can contact Marigold or your artist of choice directly, you can see all of our artists work as well as their contact info on our website and social media. If you don’t have an artist preference, Marigold will help set you up with an artist well suited for your ideas. Our minimum is $80 and we charge approximately $120-$150 an hour, please get an exact quote from your artist.

-If you are a minor, please let us know right away. There are different requirements for minors that will determine how we proceed with scheduling for you.

-Your artist may communicate via phone/email or they may ask for an in person consultation. You will be asked for reference materials such as drawings, photos, or ideas you have for your tattoo. This is your time to go over all details regarding your tattoo so please be as thorough as possible. Your artist will ask what you like about these references, a good example being, “I like the roses in the first photo because of the type of shading that was used. I like the colors that were used in the second photo.” Rather than having dozens of photos and say “I like these.”

-Your artist may ask for $50-$100 for a deposit which will go towards the final price of your tattoo. Your deposit is transferrable, but non-refundable and will be forfeited if you cancel without advanced notice. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions the deposit will come off the final session of your tattoo, you may not use it early.

-When your artist has enough info for your tattoo they will begin drawing for you. Your artist will give you an opportunity to review your design. That will be the designated time to make any changes to your design, please review things thoughtfully as we will not be able to redraw your tattoo multiple times. If there are large last minute changes you may be required to reschedule your appointment and leave an additional deposit.

-If multiple people are scheduled in a group, multiple deposits are required. If one or more can’t make it let us know as soon as possible. If you can’t fill that appointment with additional tattoo work to make up for lost time, part or all of that deposit will be forfeited.

-Leading up to your appointment lotion the part of the body being worked on and keep the skin healthy. If there are scars use vitamin E oil to help soften them. Do not get sunburned or damage the area we will be working on. If you do, it may delay your appointment.

-The day of your appointment you must have your state issued photo ID with you. Acceptable forms are drivers license or passport. We welcome approximately one adult in the tattoo room with you, please check with your artist on what they are ok with. As much as we love children, do not bring children with you to your appointment. They pose a risk to themselves as well as our staff who need to focus on their work. Come well rested and sober. Please be on time or a few minutes early, give us a call if you are running late. Eat a decent meal (not too big) before you get tattooed. Bring water and a light snack in case you get hungry. You may bring headphones to listen to music or watch a show on your device. Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing that you would be ok getting ink on. Please don’t record or photograph your procedure or your artist without your artists permission.

-Let us know if you have any questions, we look forward to working with you!
